geography
Villeneuve-lès-Lavaur is located around 30 kilometers east of Toulouse on the border with the neighboring Gironde department . The southern municipality is crossed by the Girou river. The community is bordered on the northwest by Bannières , north to Viviers-lès-Lavaur , in the east on Maurens-Scopont , south to Loubens-Lauragais and the southwest by Vendine .
