Career

The duo was founded in 2011 under the name Starpoppers , first singles and remixes appeared. At that time, the duo represented in particular the areas of dubstep and electro-house . From 2014 the duo traded as Ric & Rixx and established themselves under this pseudonym for the first time in the deep house scene. In February 2014, the duo discovered the hit The Always Laughs on YouTube , which Kerstin Ott had recorded ten years earlier as a hobby musician. They added a deep house beat to the recording and put this remix online in April 2014. The new version quickly attracted attention. In December 2014 the Tokabeatz record label signed Ric & Rixx under the name Stereoact . In 2015, the song Die Immer Lacht was re-licensed to the Hamburg record label Kontor Records , and the remix was released as a single in December 2015. The song gained more and more popularity, first in Saxony and Thuringia, reached number two in the German and Austrian single charts and was also listed in the Swiss charts. The always laughs was the most successful German-language title of 2016 in the German annual charts. The official music video achieved more than 160 million views on YouTube.

In June 2016 her debut album Tanzansage was released , which, like the single Die immer laughs, combines pop and hits with deep house beats. It entered the German album charts at number 15 and lasted 8 weeks. In December 2016 the duo was able to place their new single number one in the German and Austrian charts.
