tokabeatz is a German music label from Chemnitz . The main genres are house , dance , deep house , Schlagerhouse and pop . Artists are u. a. Disturbed but Geil , Stereoact , Jaques Raupé, Marcapasos, Steve Murano, Bastian Harper . Since the success with the single Die immer lacht von Stereoact and Kerstin Ott , tokabeatz has been one of the most successful independent labels in Germany .
history
In 2001 Torsten Katzschner founded NKN Research & Asset Managementgesellschaft, Negotia Verwaltungsgesellschaft and the record label tokabeatz. There he worked as managing director and partner. In 2013 he sold the companies and divided tokabeatz into tokabeatz ug & co. KG. To this day he is the owner and managing director of the label . 2001 tokabeatz had over 650 single releases as well as albums and compilations. In total, Katzschner has around 450 artists under contract with tokabeatz. With the song Die immer lacht by Kerstin Ott , tokabeatz landed its first nationwide chart success as the label of the Stereoact duo . The remix rose to number 2 in the German and Austrian charts in 2016. In Germany, the single was awarded a diamond record and was able to stay in the top ten for a total of 17 weeks and so far 54 weeks in the charts . The video on YouTube is said to be the most successful German-language video of all time with over 160 million clicks . With his label, Katzschner has looked after the Duo Stereoact for years. Tokabeatz cooperated with Kontor Records in Hamburg for the musicians from the Erzgebirge . It is the largest German record label for electronic music. Tokabeatz also worked with the Erfurt DJ duo Gestört aber Geil before Kontor Records took over management. Katzschner was regularly present at music fairs, the Miami Music Week WMC in the US state of Florida, the Amsterdam Dance Event in the Netherlands and the International Music Summit in Ibiza.
Musical career
At the age of 18, Torsten Katzschner started working as a DJ TOKA. Later he turned the turntables in front of an audience of up to 10,000. Today DJ TOKA performs all over Europe, including in clubs in Oslo, Basel, Linz and Ibiza. By 2007 DJ TOKA had released 25 tracks under various project names (Backside Artists, Murano meets Toka, Heatloverz) on CD and records. Most of the tracks by tokabeatz and DJ TOKA can be heard on the Tokanation Radio Channel . Due to the demand for the artists from tokabeatz , the artist booking area was created.
Private life
Torsten Katzschner (born June 26, 1973 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a disc jockey , producer , manager and owner of tokabeatz from Chemnitz. He attended high school and high school in Chemnitz. He studied business administration, first at the TU Chemnitz, later at the university in Mittweida. Torsten Katzschner has been married since 1999 and has two children.
