The prominent cookbook author Lydia Collani meets her competitor Guido Weber while researching her new cookbook series. Both have booked a trip on the Deutschland and there are always conflicts between the two, with which the crew tries to mediate. Another storyline tells about the widower Udo Haas with his ten-year-old daughter Marle. On the trip, the father introduces his daughter Sandra Erler, who is more than just a colleague to him. Lea Kramer, the lover of a millionaire fraudster wanted by the State Criminal Police Office, is shadowed by Gerd Finke. Because of his contact with Kramer, he doubts whether he is doing the right thing. Since the cheater is on board, he has to give up his cover.
