Saskia Valencia
Saskia Valencia , born Gehrke (* 21st July 1964 in Rostock ) is a German actress and television presenter , mainly in the role of a journalist Saskia Rother in RTL - soap opera Gute Zeiten (1993 to 1996), and as a lawyer Maren Waldner (until 2008 2003) in the ZDF - series Unser Charly became known.
life and career
The daughter of a teacher and a doctor grew up in the Rostock districts of Lütten Klein , Evershagen and Gehlsdorf . After graduating from high school , she began her training at television in the GDR with a traineeship in production management. In 1984/1985 she studied at the University of Film and Television in Potsdam . Valencia married the Colombian civil engineer Nicolás Valencia in 1987 , with whom she was married until 1999. The marriage resulted in a daughter (1986) and a son (1992). By marrying a Colombian, she was allowed to travel to the West during the GDR era and was not subject to any return travel restrictions, as she had officially emigrated to a developing country. Occasionally she worked as a nude model .
After the fall of the Wall she worked as a model and from 1992 took acting, speaking and singing lessons. She shot commercials , such as Mrs. Antje for cheese from the Netherlands . From 1993 to 1996 she played the role of Saskia Rother in Good Times, Bad Times , making her the first actress in the series to take her first name into the role. Other series roles followed, including in Coast Guard , Liebling Kreuzberg , Medicopter 117 - Every Life Counts , Polizeiruf 110 , Klinik unter Palmen , Inspector Rex and Veterinarian Dr. Angel . In addition, she worked as a presenter and ran the erotic magazine Peep! on RTL II , on ZDF by the magazine Reiselust, moderated again on RTL 2 Attention! RTL2 camera and in 1998 a Saturday evening show for the 1500th episode of Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . From 2003 to 2008 she was regularly seen as Maren Waldner in Unser Charly . In 2005 she played alongside Götz Otto and Gojko Mitić at the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg . From 2011 to 2012 she was in the ARD - Telenovela Rote Rosen in the female lead of the seventh season as Katja Meissner . In June 2012 she was on stage with Helmut Zierl in the play Gut gegen Nordwind in Hamburg . In 2016 she made a guest appearance on Sturm der Liebe for several episodes as Nina Kowald .
Valencia lived for ten years with fellow actor Helmut Zierl , from whom she separated in December 2011. Until 2016 she was in a relationship with fellow actor Thorsten Nindel , whom she met in 2011 while filming the ARD telenovela Rote Rosen in Lüneburg .
