Mick Baumeister (born June 28, 1958 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German jazz pianist and composer.

Who played builder early piano that made average maturity on one of the Pallottines -run boarding school on Lake Constance . He initially trained as a guest student at the PH Schwäbisch Gmünd before studying at the New Music School in Braunschweig between 1975 and 1979. He has also written theater music for the Braunschweig State Theater . Then he worked as a jazz musician, both as a soloist and with Wolfgang Lauer's Touch , the East-West Connection , the group Quintessence and in a duo with Uwe Werner, with whom he also presented an album ( Inner Spaces ) and also played in a quartet in 2010 . But mainly he wrote music for the theater and radio plays , from 1984 also film music , for example for Krücke . For television, he wrote the music for series such as Anderland (1985/86), Münchner Freiheit , The happy family , Der Fahnder , A case for two , The men from K3 , Murder in good company and also for some episodes of the crime scene .

Baumeister also works as a lecturer at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Design .
