Luka Dimic

Luka Dimic (* 1986 in Sarajevo , Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia , today Bosnia-Herzegovina ) is a German - Croatian actor .

Life

Dimic came to Germany as a refugee from the civil war. He grew up in a small Swabian town . Gained first acting experience in the theater group of his school; his German teacher encouraged him to want to become an actor. From October 2009 to September 2013 he studied acting at the "Konrad Wolf" University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg .

During his studies he played theater in various university productions and made several guest appearances at the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam, a. a. as the tomcat Maurizio di Mauro in the magic piece Der fabulous Satanarchaeolügenialalkohöllische Wunschpunsch (2012-2014; with Alexander Kasprik as Rabe Jakob Krakel as partner), as Franz Moor in a studio production of Schiller's Die Räuber (season 2011/12; premiere: November 2011 ) and as Hans in the fairy tale The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs (2013).

In 2013 he was engaged at the Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz , where he appeared in the title role of Das Bildnis des Dorian Gray at the Kleiner Theater in Bonn-Bad Godesberg and at the Schloßtheater Neuwied .

In August 2014 he appeared in the supporting program of the Venice Biennale as "Luka" in the theater project Heritage, Gender and Identity: a Complex Sense of Belonging by Falk Richter . In 2014/15 he was a guest at the Landesbühnen Sachsen as a music student Schlomo in the musical Fame . In 2015 he was a guest at the Erfurt Theater ; he played the role of the foundling Mowgli in the children's musical Das Dschungelbuch at the DomStufen Festival .

In the 2015/16 season he played the title role of “Assigen Russenfreund” in Tschick by Wolfgang Herrndorf at the Theater der Jugend (tdj) in Vienna , for which he was awarded the Nestroy Theater Prize for the best young actor.

As of the 2017/18 season, Dimic will be part of the permanent acting ensemble of the Konzert Theater Bern .

Luka Dimic played several times in productions at the Film University Potsdam and was seen in various short films. The feature film Totale Stille was shown in competition at the Max Ophüls Festival . For his role as a native Croat and nurse Adnan in the short film Zima (2013) nominated for the German Short Film Award , he received an honorable mention in 2014 for “Best Acting Performance” at the Sehsuchten Film Festival .

He also worked in various television productions, including a. in the children's series Fabrixx, in Tatort: ​​Tödliche Camouflage (2009; as a young speeder at the traffic light) and Wilsberg: Halbstark (2012; as a student Sebastian). In the ARD television film Unterwegs mit Elsa (2014), he played the young hitchhiker and Croat Tom, alongside Alicia von Rittberg . In March 2016 Dimic was seen in the ZDF crime series SOKO Wismar in a supporting role; he played the Wismar city guide and witness Bernd Prinz. In 2018 he was seen as a community worker and later assistant to Igor Aliew in the ARD series St. Josef am Berg , alongside Paula Kalenberg and Harald Krassnitzer .
