Paul Harather

Paul Harather (born March 30, 1965 in Mödling near Vienna ) is an Austrian film director , producer and screenwriter .

Life

Paul Harather graduated from the Urban School in San Francisco, USA, and studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna . He began working full-time as a director during his studies. With India he directed one of the most successful films in Austria. He has been working on international TV commercials since the late 1990s.

Since 2006 he has been running his own film production company "Breitwandfilm" in Vienna and has concentrated more and more on television series and movies. In 2015 he founded a production company in Munich, the "Neue System Agentur", with which he produced the TV series Sedwitz for ARD .

He is a member of the Academy of Austrian Films and the European Film Academy .

In 2011 he made an unexpected and successful comeback as a director, author and producer with the German-Austrian television series Schlawiner ( Bayerischer Rundfunk , ORF ).

With AMS - Mutris Welt ( ORF ), Im Schleudergang ( Bayerischer Rundfunk ), CopStories (ORF, originally Talpa, Netherlands) and "Sedwitz" (ARD) he is involved in other television series.
