Ray Cooney
Ray Cooney (born May 30, 1932 in London ) is an English contemporary comedy writer .
Life
Cooney began acting in 1946 and appeared frequently in Brian Rix's farces at the Whitehall Theater in the 1950s and 1960s . During this time he worked as a co-author on the comedy One for all ( One for the pot ) with which premiered 1,961th
In 1983 he founded and directed the Theater of Comedy Company in London. During this time he produced over 20 pieces, such as Pygmalion with Peter O'Toole and John Thaw , Loot and Lügen Have Young Legs ( Run For Your Wife ).
His style is characterized by an absurd comedy.
His son Michael (* 1967) is also active as a writer and director.
