Claudia Rossbacher

Claudia Rossbacher (* in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Live and act

She spent individual stages of life u. a. in Tehran and Jakarta . After studying tourism management, she first became a model in Europe and Japan, later a copywriter and creative director of international advertising agencies .

She has been writing in Vienna and Styria since 2006 and has published several detective novels and short stories . Her first Alpine thriller Steirerblut was filmed in 2012 under the direction of Wolfgang Murnberger , who also shot the sequels Steirerkind (2018) and Steirerkreuz (2019) as well as the spin-off "Steirerwut" (2019) . She is a member of the writers' association IG Authors Authors and Syndicate . Together with her husband Hannes Rossbacher, with whom she has been married since 1994, she published a travel guide about Styria .

In 2014 she was awarded the book favorite in the crime thriller category for Steirerkreuz , and in 2019 she was awarded the Bacchus Prize for her Steirerkrimis.
