Martin Leutgeb
Martin Leutgeb (born August 25, 1966 in Schwaz , Tyrol ) is an Austrian actor .
Life
After training as a decorator and retail salesman , Martin Leutgeb received private acting training from Emo Cingl, Grete Fröhlich and Sonja Höfer-Wlasak. He also took singing lessons . From 1991, the first stage stations followed at the Tyrolean State Theater in Innsbruck (1991–1994), the Salzburg State Theater (1994–1999) and the State Theater in Saarbrücken (1999–2005). From 2005 to 2011 Martin Leutgeb was a member of the ensemble at the State Theater in Stuttgart .
There he played the captain in Georg Büchner's Woyzeck , Gajew in Chekhov's comedy Der Kirschgarten and Sosias in Heinrich von Kleist's Amphitryon . He has been working as a freelance actor in Vienna since 2012 .
From 2008 to 2011 he also had a teaching position at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart.
Martin Leutgeb also worked in numerous film and television productions . These included the films Winter Sleeper by Tom Tykwer with Ulrich Matthes , Heino Ferch and Floriane Daniel and Das sinstere Tal by Andreas Prochaska with Sam Riley , Paula Beer and Tobias Moretti . He appeared as a performer in television series such as Der Bergdoktor , Die Bergretter , SOKO Kitzbühel , SOKO Donau / Vienna and Four Women and One Death . He was also seen in three television films from the Tatort television series . Since 2013 he has played the continuous role of the district inspector Matthias Gerber in the television series CopStories and since 2013 he has also played the role of the police officer Gert in several episodes of Die Bergretter .
In 2019 he took part in the 12th season of the ORF dance show Dancing Stars , in which he and his dance partner Manuela Stöckl dropped out in the third broadcast.
