Rainer Wöss (born May 22, 1962 in Linz ) is an Austrian actor .

Live and act

In 1981 Rainer Wöss began his acting training at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz , which he completed in 1984 . After completing his training, he initially devoted himself to the theater . By 2008, followed by engagements at various theaters in German speaking countries like u. a. Linz, Bregenz , Innsbruck , Munich , Stuttgart , Berlin ( Maxim-Gorki-Theater , Deutsches Theater Berlin ). Other important stations were the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam , Garsington Opera Festival, Cologne Opera and various solos and theater tours. In recent years his focus has increasingly shifted to film and television productions in Germany and Austria . In 2016 Rainer Wöss was nominated for the "best male actor" of the Austrian Film Award for his role in " Superwelt " (directed by Karl Markovics ). In addition, the Austro drama “ One of us ” won the Max Ophüls Prize with Wöss .

Rainer Wöss lives with his wife and daughter in Berlin.
