background

The film is based on a biblical vocation story and draws some parallels to biblical topoi, such as the burning thuja hedge ( burning thorn bush ), the triple denial by her son ( denial of Peter ), the hike through the sand of the gravel pit (desert), During the coffee break in the trailer with the twelve gravel pit workers ( Jesus' Last Supper ), the washing next to the water pump ( Jacob's fountain ) - the proximity to the barely flowing brook, which is reminiscent of the Jordan ( Jesus baptism ), is also striking here .

The film had a budget of around 2.3 million euros and was shot within 35 days. The director estimates the time from the idea to implementation to be around two years.
