Thomas Mraz
Thomas Mraz (born October 11, 1975 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .
Life
Thomas Mraz studied acting at the Vienna Conservatory from 1999 to 2002 , and received singing lessons from Klaus Ofczarek . Then he was a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Niederösterreich until 2007 , where he played the title roles in Hamlet and Woyzeck , as well as the emcee in Cabaret , the dentist in Der kleine Horrorladen and Max in Othello must not burst . In 2008 he played alongside Michael Niavarani in his cabaret program Encyclopaedia Niavaranica . At the Theater in der Josefstadt he appeared on stage as butcher Oskar in Horváth's Tales from the Vienna Woods and as Der Merkl Franz in Kasimir and Karoline . At the Berndorf Festival in 2011, the comedy The Odyssey - An Abbreviation , written by Mraz, was premiered under the direction of Michael Niavarani .
In 2013 he was seen in the movie Bad Fucking in the role of Philipp Hintersteiner, in the TV series Vorstadtweiber he has played the role of the police officer Jörg Pudschedl since 2015.
In January 2015 he celebrated with the comedy Après Ski - Quiet Up! by author Klaus Eckel premiered in the Wiener Stadtsaal under the direction of Bernhard Murg . In this one-person piece, Mraz embodied a skier who is forgotten on a chairlift. In 2015 he directed the filming of the ORF sketch comedy Kalahari Gemsen by and with Angelika Niedetzky and Ramesh Nair . In 2017 he played the role of Sancho Panza at the Theater Summer Haag alongside Christian Dolezal as Don Quixote. In December 2018, he was one of the four candidates for the celebrity edition of the millionaire show .
In the ORF series Wischen ist Macht (2020) with Ursula Strauss as Michelle Sendracek, he embodies her ex-husband Hugo. In February 2020 he premiered the 70s rock operetta Orpheus in der Unterwelt based on the operetta of the same name by Jacques Offenbach , directed by Ruth Brauer-Kvam, at the Rabenhof Theater .
