Aufschneider is the title of a two-part Austrian television film by David Schalko , which was produced by Superfilm in 2009 for ORF and arte . The script was written by Schalko and Josef Hader .

action

The film is about the pathologist Prim. Fuhrmann, whose strange outlooks on life keep coming to the fore and irritating him in his family and professional environment and leading to problems. His opponent in the clinic is the surgeon Dr. Böck, who always gets in his way. Hence, he strives to be Dr. Böck can prove a malpractice.

Fuhrmann hires the new assistant Winkler and his daughter Feli moves from her mother to her father. Feli casts an eye on Winkler, which her father displeases. Fuhrmann's ex-wife, of all people, met Primary Dr. Böck, the preferred hate object of Dr. Carter, having an affair.

A little later, Fuhrmann's colleague Dr. Wehninger her dead father from pathology so as not to have to autopsy him. The corpse is brought back together under a number of circumstances. During this action there is a rapprochement between the driver and his colleague. However, the kidnapping of the dead father is revealed and Dr. Fuhrmann is suspended. Dr. Böck operates the wrong knee on a Gaddafi son and is also suspended. Furthermore, Fuhrmann's ex-wife discovered her pregnancy, which her relationship with the child's father Dr. Böck burdened more and more. Fuhrmann is also not enthusiastic about this news. In addition, daughter Feli is suddenly pregnant. During a night of love with Dr. Wehninger, Fuhrmann discovers a change in his chest and tries to operate on himself the next day. After it collapses, Dr. Bock saved. The lump turns out to be a cyst.

A trade in corneas from the deceased by the two assistants in pathology and the undertaker Anke acts as a subplot.

Originally it was planned to show the show as a 6-part television series, but it was decided to make a film version. The DVD for the film was released on April 9, 2010. The films were broadcast on April 13 and 16, 2010. According to information from the ORF, a continuation is not ruled out.

While a male corpse can be seen in the opening credits on ORF, arte broadcasts a modified version with microscope images. In addition, the film was partially broadcast with subtitles outside of Austria.

Filming

The shooting took place from April to June 2009 in Vienna and Lower Austria. The Vienna-South health center of the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund on Wienerberg functioned as the “Margaretenspital” .

In 2013 the film was nominated for the Grimme Prize .
