Superfilm (spelling: SUPERFILM) is a film production company with offices in Vienna and Munich . The company was founded in 2006 by John Lueftner and David Schalko in Vienna.

2006 Superfilm Filmproduktions GmbH was founded by John Lueftner and David Schalko in Vienna.

The Super Film Produktions GmbH produces television and feature films, as well as talk shows, including broadcast without name and since 2007 Welcome Austria . The production company u. a. with the ORF productions Aufschneider , as well as the internationally renowned series Braunschlag and Altes Geld, for which David Schalko wrote the script and directed. In 2019 the third series M - A City Seeks a Murderer , produced by Superfilm, celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale .

Superfilm also produces several television films in the Tatort series, as well as two country crime novels co-produced by ORF (2018: roller coaster and 2016: Höhenstrasse ).

In 2016 John Lueftner and David Schalko founded another branch in Munich and have been producing a weekly late-night talk ( Ringlstetter ) there for Bavarian Broadcasting since then . The entertainment format Mittermeier! and a new literary program with Thomas Gottschalk ( Gottschalk Liest? ) was also produced under the direction of Superfilm Munich .
