Sabine Derflinger
Sabine Derflinger (* 1963 in Wels ) is an Austrian director , author , producer and dramaturgical consultant. The multiple award-winning Derflinger (including the Grimme Prize , Golden Mark of Merit of the State of Vienna) lives and works in Vienna and Berlin .
Life
In 1991, Sabine Derflinger began her studies at the Vienna Film Academy (subject areas: book and dramaturgy ), after having worked as a director and production assistant at film for several years. In 1996 she successfully completed her studies with a thesis entitled “Film Counting Between Epic & Dramatic ”.
Sabine Derflinger is known for numerous feature films and documentaries, many of her works have won awards. In the past few years she has drawn attention to herself through several television productions. For example, she is the first woman to direct an Austrian episode of the crime series Tatort . In the meantime she has realized two Austrian ( Wrong Packed ; Counted ) and one German Tatort ( Borowski and the Sea ). The crime scene counted , which takes place in the Viennese prostitution milieu, sparked a wide-ranging media debate on the subject of prostitution. Other ORF series directed by Sabine Derflinger are Paul Kemp - no problem , four women and a death and suburban women .
In 2010 Sabine Derflinger founded the production company Derflinger Film and was active as a producer on the following films: The Rounder Girls , Schnelles Geld , Eine von 8 und Was geht . In 2013 Derflinger Film was engaged as a service production for the Brazilian TV broadcaster Globo TV , which shot several episodes of the Telenovela Em Família in Vienna .
