Klaus Eckel
Klaus Eckel (born May 1, 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cabaret artist .
Life
Klaus Eckel, who comes from the 19th district of Döbling in Vienna , originally worked as a logistician . Not finding his office work satisfactory, he began writing cabaret texts in 2001 and performing the result in front of an audience of friends. In the same year he performed with the "demo program" retraining as a cabaret artist at the Grazer Kleinkunstvogel and achieved second place, a short time later he won two other cabaret competitions. Since 2002 he has been involved in the Long Night of Cabaret .
After Eckel had already given up his job as a logistician, he wrote other programs and performed in Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He had television appearances, for example, in the Quatsch Comedy Club and in the institution . He has won numerous prizes at home and abroad, including the Salzburg Bull and the Austrian Cabaret Prize . Sometimes he plays with colleagues like Thomas Stipsits , Pepi Hopf and Günther Lainer .
In 2010 he presented his sixth program Everything is great, but ... and appeared in the 8-part ORF comedy series Burgenland is everywhere . He also writes columns for the Vormagazin of the Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region . His new program Weltwundern premiered in September 2013 . In November and December 2013 he was seen on ORF eins on the television program DIE.NACHT with the comedy talk Eckel with edges from CasaNova Vienna, which was initially set up for six episodes . In May and June 2015, six more episodes of Eckel mit Kante were broadcast.
In January 2015, the comedy Après Ski, written by Klaus Eckel, celebrated it all! Premiere in the Wiener Stadtsaal under the direction of Bernhard Murg . In this one-person piece, Thomas Mraz embodied a skier who is forgotten on a chairlift.
