Life Radio is the name of two regional private radio broadcasters in Austria .

Upper Austria

Life Radio has been on the air in Upper Austria since April 1, 1998. Since its inception, the station, based in the Arkade am Taubenmarkt (Linz), has been managed by managing director Christian Stögmüller. Life Radio has around 50 permanent employees.

As a regional radio station, Life Radio offers a full program with music, moderation, news, sports and weather / traffic news with a focus on Upper Austria. The target group are listeners between the ages of 14 and 49 years.

The news on Life Radio is 5 minutes before every full hour and before every half hour. The news before the full hour is obtained from a news supplier during the off-peak hours, the regional report for the hour at five to half an hour comes from the studio in Linz.

Life Radio can be received in Upper Austria on the frequency 100.5 MHz via the main transmitter on Lichtenberg . Additional transmitters are in Bad Ischl on 102.2 MHz, in Gmunden on 103.1 MHz, in Unterach and Schärding on 102.6 MHz, in Windischgarsten on 95.6 MHz, in Kirchdorf an der Krems on 88.3 MHz, in Steyr on 106.0 MHz, in Braunau on 106.5 MHz and in St. Georgen im Attergau on 89.9 MHz. The transmitter can be received on the cable at 105.5 MHz. Life Radio supplies several tunnel radio systems with its transmission signal and can therefore be heard on the A9 ( Pyhrn Autobahn ) to the Bosruck tunnel, on the entire A8 ( Welser Westspange ) and on the entire S10 ( Mühlviertler Schnellstraße ). Life Radio can be heard online or via the app (for iPhone, iPad and Android). Both the web radio and the app contain several streams with a special focus on music, e.g. B. 80s, 90s or live songs.

Events

Life Radio is the organizer and media partner of various events. The in-house events include Life am Berg (Upper Austria's largest school ski day), the Life Radio bridge picnic , breakfast tour (the original from Life Radio) or the Life Radio ice box (ice rink in downtown Linz).

Tyrol

In 1998, the then regional radio authority granted a nationwide broadcasting license for Tyrol to a consortium led by Moser Holding . On the basis of this license, a private radio under the name of Antenne Tirol was broadcast from April 1st, 1998 .

After Moser Holding had taken over the shares of most of the other shareholders, it handed over the rights to the name Antenne Tirol to Fellner -ender in Innsbruck and in the Tyrolean Unterland . Since December 2004, a program has been distributed via the nationwide broadcasting chain that also bears the name Life Radio, but has not used the same audiovisual appearance as the Upper Austrian original since spring 2010 and is also not identical in content to the Upper Austrian program.
