Anita Lackenberger

Anita Lackenberger (* 1961 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian historian and filmmaker.

Life

Anita Lackenberger studied history after graduating from high school . In the 1990s she wrote books on hiking, cooking, baking and history (e.g. on Elisabeth Plainacher , who was tortured as a witch in Vienna ). She later made some documentaries. In 2014 she released her first feature film with Vals , followed in 2018 with Ein wilder Sommer - Die Wachausaga, her second feature film. She wrote the script and directed both of them. Her partner Gerhard Mader was responsible for camera, editing and production with his production company Produktion West for both films . Anita Lackenberger lives in Tyrol and Lower Austria and is the mother of a daughter and a son.
