Vals - The film is an Austrian film .

action

Rosa, a young self-confident woman, wants to lead and shape her life at the end of the Second World War in the Tyrolean village of Vals . Her fiancé Hans, who was critical of the war and the regime , was betrayed and drafted into the Wehrmacht . Peter, a National Socialist , is in love with Rosa, has betrayed Hans, and is allowed to stay in the village. Bernadette, Rosa's sister, is in love with Peter and sees Rosa as a rival .

The film with fictional characters and a realistic view of the time was shot in exposed locations in Vals. The action is accompanied by the Saligen woman in the Hintertux Glacier , who observes and changes the events.

Awards

For her portrayal in Vals , Gerti Drassl was nominated for the Austrian Film Prize 2016 as best female actress .
