Thomas Weingartner

Thomas Weingartner (born April 18, 1976 in Lienz , East Tyrol ) is an Austrian screenwriter .

Life

Thomas Weingartner studied screenwriting and dramaturgy at the Film and Television Department of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in Vienna , where he lives and works.

Together with Stefan Hafner , he wrote scripts for ORF television series such as SOKO Donau , SOKO Kitzbühel , Schnell Determined and Die Detektiven , as well as for the rural crime , urban comedy and Tatort series .

For the screenplay for the ORF country crime thriller If you only knew how beautiful it is here , he and Hafner were awarded the special prize of the jury for the Thomas Pluch screenplay prize and the TV prize of Austrian adult education in 2016.

With crime scene: Bring Marie! he wrote the first script for a crime scene episode, with Let the moon stand in the sky , the first Munich crime scene followed with investigators Batic and Leitmayr .
