Fritz Egger (born February 12, 1960 in Schärding ) is an Austrian actor and cabaret artist .

Life

Egger studied German , journalism and sports at the University of Salzburg . During his studies he worked as a journalist , including for ORF . From 1984 to 1988 he took acting lessons in Vienna and passed the stage entrance examination in Vienna, furthermore Egger took musical lessons and enjoyed the well-known method training according to Lee Strasberg .

Fritz Egger made his debut at the Salzburg Festival in 1993 in Shakespeare's Coriolanus . He was also seen in Peter Stein's productions of Shakespeare's Antonius and Cleopatra (1994 and 1995) and Ferdinand Raimund's Der Alpenkönig und der Menschenfeind (1996 and 1997). From 2013 to 2016 Fritz Egger was on stage as a debt servant in the Jedermann production.

In 1989 he founded the Salzburg AffrontTheater and worked for it as an author, director and actor. A total of eight programs were created with Johannes Pillinger, Manfred Koch, Peter Scholz and Fritz Popp . In 1995 the AffrontTheater was awarded the Salzburger Stier Cabaret Prize.
