Inge Maux (* 2. October 1944 in Mettmach , Upper Austria as Ingeborg Christine Wöchtl ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Inge Maux grew up mainly in Upper Austria. Her uncle was the composer Richard Maux (1893–1971), who encouraged her artistically and was able to convince her parents that she was allowed to attend the Krauss drama school in Vienna . She also took the surname from him as a stage name.

Acting engagements have taken her to the Cologne Schauspielhaus and the Schauspielhaus Zurich , among others , and she has also appeared in various musicals , for example at the Zurich Opera House as Jente in Anatevka , at the Theater an der Wien in Chicago or as Maria Wartberg in I was never in New York at the Raimundtheater . She has made guest appearances at the Residenztheater in Munich , the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg , the Theater in der Josefstadt and the Theater in the Drachengasse .

Inge Maux is second married to the actor Manfred Schmid (born April 4, 1940), with whom she lives in Artstetten in Lower Austria and organizes special evenings with Jewish music . In addition to her work as an actress, she also works as a photographer and painter .
