The magazine musicals - Das Musicalmagazin has been published in Munich since 1986 . It was founded by Gerhard Knopf and Klaus-Dieter Kräft as the first German-language musical magazine.
The original title was The Musical through 1991 . The magazine employs around 20 freelancers, appears every two months and is available in newsagents or by subscription.

The magazine offers extensive reviews of all new musical productions on Broadway and in the West End , as well as reviews of important musical premieres in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. In addition, the magazine presents numerous interviews with actors, artistic directors and directors as well as reviews of musical CDs and detailed schedule overviews.
