Andreas Thalhammer

Andreas Thalhammer (* 1984 in Oberwart ) is an Austrian cameraman .

Life

Andreas Thalhammer grew up in Burgenland and came into contact with a camera in his childhood by filming holiday videos on family trips. After his community service he began studying theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna . His first film job was on the set of a student at the Vienna Film Academy , where he helped out in the camera department. On the set of the graduate film of a film academy student, he met Xiaosu Han , with whom he has been working since 2005 under the name Stilfabrik .

In 2011, the film Lipstikka, directed by Jonathan Sagall, was shown at the Berlinale , in 2013 the 3D horror film Lost Place was released , and in 2015 the feature film Beijing Carmen, shot in China . With director Barbara Eder they shot the ORF television series CopStories , the Burgenland rural crime thriller Kreuz des Südens and the Tatort episode Virus , with Umut Dağ also episodes of CopStories and the ORF rural thriller Endabrechnung from South Tyrol, with Dominik Hartl the two feature films Beautiful Girl and Attack of the lederhosen zombies . The feature film Wilde Maus , directed by Josef Hader , was shown in 2017 at the Berlinale in the competition for the "Golden Bear". In 2017 they worked again with Umut Dağ and filmed the television film Das deutsche Kind for Norddeutscher Rundfunk .
