Michael Wallner

Michael Wallner (* 1958 in Graz ) is an Austrian author, theater director and actor.

Life

Michael Wallner studied directing and acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar . As an actor he was engaged, among others, at the Burgtheater in Vienna and at the Schillertheater in Berlin . Since 1986 he has worked as a freelance opera and drama director. Wallner lives in Berlin and England.

Wallner has staged at the following theaters since 1986: Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Burgtheater Vienna, Volkstheater Vienna, Thaliatheater Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Volkstheater Munich, Saarland State Theater Saarbrücken, Graz Opera, Graz Theater, Innsbruck State Theater, Rostock Volkstheater, German Theater Göttingen, Theater Klagenfurt, Theater Bern, Theater Lübeck.

Wallner has published eight novels (with Luchterhand, Rowohlt and the Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt) and five books for young people (with cbj) since 2000. Since 2003, according to imdb , he has also written a total of four scripts that have been implemented for film and television.
