Fantastic Prize from the city of Wetzlar
The Fantastic Prize of the City of Wetzlar (original spelling) is a literary prize that is awarded annually from 1983 to 2014 and since then every one to two years by the City of Wetzlar .

German-language original publications from the genre Fantastik are awarded. The fourteen-member jury consists of representatives from the city administration, book trade, press and educational institutions. The prize was initially endowed with 2500 DM , from 1990 the sum was increased to 7000 DM. Since 2002 the prize money has been 4,000 euros. The prize is awarded during the Days of Fantasticism under the direction of the Fantastic Library in Wetzlar .
