Christiane Neudecker
Christiane Neudecker (born March 16, 1974 in Erlangen ) is a German writer and director .
Life
Christiane Neudecker studied directing at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1996 to 2001 and directed, among others, at the bat studiotheater Berlin and the Kleisttheater Frankfurt (Oder) . Since 2001 she has been the director of the Berlin artist network phase7 performing.arts , which creates multimedia events for science and culture. She conceived the media performance "delusions", which premiered in 2004 in the Forum Neues Musiktheater of the Stuttgart State Opera and wrote the libretto for the "cross-media opera" C - The Speed of Light , which the work carried out in 2005 as part of the Science Summer in Berlin by Albert Einstein artistically, as well as the libretto for "Himmelsmechanik - ein Entortung" in 2013 on behalf of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Her novels and stories are published by Luchterhand Literaturverlag (paperback at btb).

From 1996 onwards, Neudecker's short stories were published in literary magazines and anthologies , which describe cryptic mental states and fears in artful laconic language.
On Father's Night , the dead father of a first-person narrator becomes present in the encounter with a rigid street mime. A bird comes shows the temptations of a young woman who seeks confirmation in anonymous contact with unknown persons in need of care. The story Oxygen deals with the feeling of extradition and delimitation in a medical hyperbaric chamber.
The volume of stories In der Stille ein Klang (2005), gathering 13 stories, broadens the horizon to exotic, strange places. The title story tells of the failure of a German sound designer who works for a car company in Dubai, is plagued by intrigues and ends up losing his job.
In spring 2008, Christiane Neudecker's debut novel Nowhere Else was published by Luchterhand Literaturverlag.
In 2010, Das siamesische Klavier - Unheimliche Stories was published ( Luchterhand Literaturverlag ). The book of stories was awarded the Bayern 2 Wortspielepreis, a residency grant in the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles, and the Fantastik Prize of the city of Wetzlar . The story contained in the book Where there is much light was shortlisted for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 2009.
Your novel “Kastenstopp” (2013, Luchterhand Literaturverlag) takes place in the male-dominated world of corporate events and was awarded a scholarship from the German Literature Fund when it was first created.
The “ Sommernovelle ” (2015, Luchterhandverlag) was named “NDR Book of the Month”, made it onto the Spiegel bestseller list and was selected by 29 critics on the Deutschlandfunk's “7 best books for young readers” list.
