Marc-Andreas Bochert

Marc-Andreas Bochert (* 1971 in Hildesheim ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from high school and doing community service, Bochert studied directing at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" (HFF) from 1992 to 1998 . In 1994 Marc-Andreas Bochert took part in the "Workshop for Young Filmmakers" (today the workshop of the young film scene ). For his graduation film, the short film Kleingeld , he received several awards at a young age. He won the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Student Oscar , the German Short Film Award , the Max Ophüls Award and received an Oscar nomination in 2000 in the “ Best Short Film ” category . In 2013 he also received the children's television award of the Robert Geisendörfer Prize for directing Die Schöne und das Biest together with Marcus Hertnack .
