Fresnes-en-Woëvre is located about 19 kilometers east-southeast of Verdun and about 40 kilometers west of Metz in the Woëvre region . Fresnes-en-Woëvre is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Ville-en-Woëvre in the north, Pintheville in the northeast, Riaville in the east, Saulx-lès-Champlon in the south and southeast, Trésauvaux in the south and southwest, Bonzée in the west and Manheulles in the west and Northwest.
The earlier national routes 404 and 408 run through Fresnes-en-Woëvre .
