Thillot is about 24 kilometers southeast of Verdun . Thillot is surrounded by the neighboring communities Hannonville-sous-les-Côtes in the north and west, Avillers-Sainte-Croix in the east and north-east and Saint-Maurice-sous-les-Côtes in the south and east.
