Lemmes is a French commune with 249 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Dieue-sur-Meuse (until 2015 Souilly ).

geography

Lemmes is located about twelve kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Verdun on the upper reaches of the Vadelaincourt river . Lemmes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Landrecourt-Lempire in the north and northeast, Senoncourt-les-Maujouy in the east, Souilly in the south and southeast, Osches in the southwest, Vadelaincourt in the west and Les Souhesmes-Rampont in the west and northwest.
