Vacherauville is a French commune with 177 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Belleville-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton of Étain ).
geography
Vacherauville is located about seven kilometers north-northwest of Verdun on the Canal de la Meuse and the Meuse (French: Meuse ). Vacherauville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Champneuville in the north and west, Louvemont-Côte-du-Poivre in the east and northeast, Bras-sur-Meuse in the south and southeast, Charny-sur-Meuse in the south and Marre in the southwest.
