Avioth is a French commune with 144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and is part of the canton of Montmédy . The inhabitants are called Aviotois .
geography
Avioth is about 55 kilometers north of Verdun near the border with Belgium and the Thonne . Avioth is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Breux in the north, Thonne-la-Long in the east, Montmédy in the south and south-west and Thonnelle in the west and south-west.
