Moulainville is a French commune with 124 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Belleville-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton of Étain ).

Moulainville is about seven kilometers east of Verdun . Moulainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Eix in the north, Moranville in the northeast, Blanzée in the east, Châtillon-sous-les-Côtes in the south and southeast, Belrupt-en-Verdunois in the south and southwest and Verdun in the west.
