Wiseppe (1801 still with the spelling Viseppe ) is a French commune with 97 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Verdun and to the municipality association Pays de Stenay et Val Dunois, founded in 2016 .
geography
Wiseppe is located in the Argonne countryside , about 40 kilometers north of Verdun , on the Wiseppe river of the same name , which is located here shortly before its confluence with the Meuse .

Six farms are located in the municipality (cereal cultivation, dairy farming, cattle breeding).
The D 30 trunk road from Laneuville-sur-Meuse to Dun-sur-Meuse runs through the municipality of Wiseppe . In the town of Stenay , six kilometers away , several nationally important roads cross.
