Azannes-et-Soumazannes is a French commune with 165 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and is part of the canton of Montmédy . The inhabitants are called the Azannois .

Azannes-et-Soumazannes is located about 25 kilometers north-northeast of Verdun . Azannes-et-Soumazannes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chaumont-devant-Damvillers in the north and north-west, Romagne-sous-les-Côtes in the north, Mangiennes in the north-east, Billy-sous-Mangiennes in the east and north-east, Gremilly in the east and south-east, Ornes in the south, Beaumont-en-Verdunois in the southwest and Ville-devant-Chaumont in the west.
