Abaucourt-Hautecourt is a French commune with 107 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Belleville-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton of Étain ). The inhabitants are called Abaucourtois .

Abaucourt-Hautecourt is about 13 kilometers east-northeast of Verdun . Abaucourt-Hautecourt is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Dieppe-sous-Douaumont in the north and north-west, Fromezey in the east and north-east, Herméville-en-Woëvre in the south-east, Grimaucourt-en-Woëvre in the south, Eix in the west and south-west and Damloup in the west.

history

In 1973, today's municipality was created from the independent municipalities of Abaucourt-lès-Souppleville and Hautecourt-lès-Broville .
