Murvaux is a French commune with 141 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Stenay (until 2015: canton of Dun-sur-Meuse ).

Murvaux is about 38 kilometers north-northwest of Verdun . Murvaux is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Lion-devant-Dun in the north, Mouzay in the north and northeast, Louppy-sur-Loison in the northeast, Brandeville in the east and southeast, Fontaines-Saint-Clair in the south and Milly-sur-Bradon in the west.
