Montzéville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Esnes-en-Argonne in the north, Chattancourt in the northeast, Marre in the east, Fromeréville-les-Valons in the east and southeast, Béthelainville in the south, Récicourt in the southwest, Aubréville in the west and southwest and Avocourt in the northwest.
