The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Verdun , the canton Bouligny (until 2015: canton Spincourt ) and the municipal association Damvillers Spincourt . Domremy-la-Canne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Spincourt in the north, Dommary-Baroncourt in the east and south, Éton in the southwest and Gouraincourt in the west.
