Dommary-Baroncourt is a French commune with 737 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Verdun and the Canton of Bouligny (until 2015: Canton of Spincourt ). The inhabitants are called Baroncourtois .
geography
Dommary-Baroncourt is about 59 kilometers west-northwest of Metz and about 48 kilometers northeast of Verdun . Dommary-Baroncourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Domremy-la-Canne and Ollières in the north, Avillers in the northeast, Bouligny in the east, Affléville in the southeast, Rouvres-en-Woëvre in the south and Éton in the west.
