Braquis is a French commune with 119 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Étain .

history

During the First World War , the painter Franz Marc was fatally wounded by a shrapnel on March 4, 1916 while exploring Braquis.
