Breux is a French commune with 258 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and is part of the canton of Montmédy . The inhabitants are called Breulots .

geography

Breux is about 60 kilometers north of Verdun on the border with Belgium . Breux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Herbeuval and Margny in the north and north-west, Meix-devant-Virton (Belgium) in the east and north-east, Thonne-la-Long in the south-east, Avioth in the south, Thonelle in the south-west and Thonne-le-Thil in the west and southwest.
