Dun-sur-Meuse is a French commune with 661 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It is located in the arrondissement of Verdun and was the capital of the canton of Dun-sur-Meuse until 2015 , since then the municipality has belonged to the canton of Stenay .

The municipality of Dun-sur-Meuse is located on the Meuse between Verdun and Sedan at an altitude between 170 and 282 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.41 km².

history

A parade of delegations of the troops took place on December 21, 1917 in front of the highest warlord, Kaiser Wilhelm II . He paid tribute to their achievements with the parade and the awards that were subsequently presented .
