Malancourt is a French commune with 64 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Verdun , the canton Clermont-en-Argonne (until 2015: canton Varennes-en-Argonne ) and the municipality association Argonne-Meuse .
geography
Malancourt is about 20 kilometers northwest of Verdun . Malancourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cuisy in the north, Béthincourt in the east and northeast, Esnes-en-Argonne in the south and southeast, Avocourt in the south and southwest and Montfaucon-d'Argonne in the west and northwest.
