Samogneux is located about 19 kilometers north-northwest of Verdun on the Meuse (French: Meuse ) and the Canal de la Meuse . Samogneux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brabant-sur-Meuse in the north and north-west, Haumont-près-Samogneux in the north and north-east, Beaumont-en-Verdunois in the east, Champneuville in the south and Regnéville-sur-Meuse in the west.
