Douaumont-Vaux is a French commune with 81 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Verdun and the Grand Verdun community association .
history
On January 1, 2019, the municipalities of Douaumont and Vaux-devant-Damloup were merged to form today's Commune nouvelle . The administrative headquarters are in Vaux-devant-Damloup. The two localities became Communes déléguées .
geography
Douaumont-Vaux lies at the transition from the Woëvre landscape to the Verdun forest. Douaumont-Vaux borders the neighboring municipalities of Ornes in the north, Bezonvaux in the north-east, Dieppe-sous-Douaumont in the east, Damloup in the south and south-east, Fleury-devant-Douaumont in the south and south-west, Bras-sur-Meuse in the west and Louvemont-Côte -du-Poivre in the north-west.
