Thonnelle is a French commune with 134 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and is part of the canton of Montmédy .

geography

Thonnelle is about 53 kilometers north of Verdun near the border with Belgium on the Thonne . Thonnelle is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Thonne-le-Thil in the north and northwest, Breux in the northeast, Avioth in the east and northeast, Montmédy in the south and east, Thonne-les-Près in the south and southwest and Chauvency-le-Château in the west and Southwest.
